This Old Thing

It's official: I've made the transition from Summer to Autumn dressing. The jumpers are out and the hats are on! I'm still trying to sneak a little bit of Summer into my outfit with this pink floral midi skirt from New Look, but I may as well throw my hands up and admit defeat now.

I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend, I was surprisingly productive and spent most of mine redecorating. Hopefully you liked the last home-styling post I did, because I would love to do more of that kind of thing in the near future!

Have a great day!

Ready For Autumn

Hello there! It was so sunny today but I just can't but feel ready for the transition into Autumn! It's definitely my favourite season of them all, especially when it comes to fashion. I picked up this Check Dress from New Look a couple of months ago, with plans to hide it away until the colder months, but I just couldn't resist! Don't be fooled by this sunny-post though, I live in Ireland and it's usually freezing or raining, so I guess I'm lucky in a way as I get to dress for my favourite season all year round! I'm feeling a sort of back-to-school vibe at the moment, and I can't wait to pick up a few key pieces before heading back to university in September...

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend so far!

London Trip

Hello there! A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I went over to Kent for my sister's wedding, which was absolutely amazing! We stopped off in London first and it was super fun. We spent hours and hours roaming around the vintage shops, sipping coffee, and chilling with cats. Unfortunately, we were only there for a day, but I loved it so much, I can't wait to go back again and spend more time there. Next time I'l be heading over with an empty suitcase for sure!

I hope you've all have a lovely week so far!

When The Sun Goes Down

Hello there! It feels good to be blogging regularly again after such a long time away revising for boring exams. I really missed blogging, so now I can't wait to make more time for it again and hopefully post at least once or twice a week.

Last night I went bowling for my boyfriend's birthday and it was so fun! I hadn't been in years and now I can't wait to go again. Today was spent doing typical lazy Sunday things... you know, basically nothing at all. It's so nice to relax now and not have to worry about studying...

Anyway, how cute are these shorts?!

Just a short post from me this evening, I hope all had a wonderful weekend!

My Happy Place

I really love doing these lifestyle posts, and I thought, well why not give you all a little sneak peek of my bedroom now that I've decorated it a bit more. We still have a long way to go with our house, but it's getting there! I love taking photographs of my home and I can't wait do more home style posts in the future.

So, the bedroom looks a little bare at the moment, but I have been carefully collecting frames so I can fill the walls with my favourite prints and photographs. I always have lots tabs open on my laptop, with so many baskets filled with stuff I want to buy for the house, but getting what you want can really break the bank! So the whole process is taking a while, but I'm enjoying taking the time to decorate our home just the way we want it.

We have a whole other room filled with our work stuff and all sorts of other clutter, which will soon be turned into an actual office. It's great because now I can keep my work desk separate from the bedroom and this can be somewhere I can completely relax. Apart from when I'm feeling lazy and decide to work from bed, of course.

I hope you liked this little sneak peek and remember you can follow me on Instagram to see more!

A Lush Haul

The past few weeks have been a bit stressful as I've had to sit a few university exams (summer exams are the worst!) and my appearance right now is more than slightly disheveled. However, lucky for me it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I was treated to some lovely bits from Lush. I always think of Lush as quite the treat, and I only ever really shop there when I feel like I deserve something extra special.

Someone must have been listening to me complain about my stressed out skin because I was kindly treated to a few bits that have seriously helped calm it down. I was over the moon to receive my number one Lush product - Oatflix Fresh Face Mask - £6.25. I've been using this for a couple of years now and I simply adore it. I apply it all over my face, let it do it's thing for 5-10 minutes, and rinse. Simple! It has a delicious banana scent and really helps to moisturise dried out skin. As you can tell from the photographs, I couldn't wait and had to try all of these right away!

Along with my favourite face mask, I was also treated to the Ultrabland Facial Cleanser - £6.95. I had never tried this before but I can't express how much it has helped my skin since I started using. I have had quite a bad breakout due to stress and using this daily has helped clear it up and my skin appears to be a lot brighter too! I apply it all over my face and remove it with a warm damp cloth. It removes all traces of make up and it smells great too.

Next up is the Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly - £6.75, the people of Lush describe it as "a party in a pot" and I'm not going to disagree. Even though it constantly slips out of my hands in the shower, I still love it because the cherry, bergamot and blackcurrant scent is so amazing! Lastly, I also got the Each Peach (And Two's A Pair) - £5.75, which has such a great name! I have yet to try this but it smells lovely so I'm hoping my skin will enjoy it too.

Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite Lush product? Let me know in the comment section below!
