Summer In The City

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love summer in the city.

It really seems like everybody is in a better mood, even on a cloudy day, because you know it won't be long until the sun is shining again. I have been making the most of it by spending as much time as possible outside, even having lunch outside has been such a treat!

These photographs were taken while running errands around town and trying to break in my faux-birks. (Yes, I have given in to the ugly-shoe trend!) They are so unbelievably comfortable, I couldn't possibly resist.

Anyway, I hope the sun has been shining where you are. Here's to positive, sunny vibes!

Review: Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray

When it comes to styling my hair, I am pretty low maintenance. I like to be able to jump out of bed in the morning and not have to worry too much about what my hair looks like. That “just out of bed” look has always been a favourite of mine, however I am unfortunate enough to have quite fine hair which can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare to style. While I do have naturally quite curly/wavy hair, due it it's fine nature it can sometimes lack that bouncy “bed head” vibe that I long for. As it turns out, looking effortless can actually require quite a bit of effort!

After doing a bit of research online, reading up on lots of various hair care routines by lots of different beauty bloggers, I discovered a whole lot of love for sea salt spray. I also discovered that “bed head” goddess Alexa Chung likes to use salt spray to add texture to her hair, so I knew it had to be a winner.

I picked up this Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray from Boots for under £5, and I'm really loving it so far. I usually dry my hair until it's about 75%, spray the product on the damp ends and then scrunch it up with my hands. It does exactly what it says on the tin; it gives you an effortless beachy look as well as helping to define natural curls and texture. It doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky or greasy, in fact you can barely feel it in your hair at all. It is also very easy to brush out if you feel like changing your hair style. Not only is it really good for creating waves, but it can also be used to style and add texture to other looks!

I would definitely recommend the Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray, however I can't wait to try some of the many other salt sprays that are also available. I think next on my list is the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray...

Which hair care products are you loving right now?

The New Classic

Hello there! I'm usually all about colour and prints on my blog, however right now I'm really feeling this classic black and white look...

White Walls

I do love a striped tee, and when I spotted this one in Topshop, I instantly fell in love with it. The organza daisy detail is such a lovely touch and it makes a nice change from the abundance of other striped t-shirts currently residing in my wardrobe! I think I might get it in plain white too because I wear this one all the time. In fact I'm wearing it right now as I type this, and if that's not love, then I don't know what is!

This is my attempt to try and wear white more often, but as you can see, I'm not ready to break up with my black tights and shoes just yet....

I hope you're all having a lovely week so far!

Signs of Summer

Hello there! So, I am completely stoked that summer is almost here. When the sun comes out, people just seem happier and there is always so much to look forward to. My boyfriend and I went out for a Sunday stroll to make the most of the lovely weather. I wore this kimono, cheery floral top and necklace, all from New Look, to match my sunny mood!

Anyway, just a short little post from me today. I'm so glad I can finally say, I've finished my exams! It feels so good to finally be free for Summer.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and a great start to your week!
